Amazon Music Service: Only For Prime Subscribers

Finally, Amazon has launched its Music service in India. Amazon Prime Music or Amazon Music was
launched last year with the arrival of Echo speakers in India. Now, the Music app of Amazon is available
on Android, iOS and Web but for only Amazon Prime subscribers in India.

Amazon Prime subscription is currently costing Rs 999 per year which was Rs 499 for a year, previously.
Under Prime subscription, the users are almost enjoying huge benefits. Free one-day, two-day shipping
from Amazon e-commerce website, Prime Video and now Prime Music. The cost of Rs 999 per a year
means users are paying Rs 84 for a month to enjoy the benefits. This is almost cheaper when compared to
other music streaming services. Apple and Google are higher in rates when compared to Amazon.

Apple Music monthly subscription charges around Rs 120 while Google Play music costs Rs 99 per a
month. The other music services such as Saavn Pro costs Rs 99, Gaana Plus costs Rs 99 for its monthly
subscription, Hungama (music) Pro costs Rs 99 per month and Wynk Music Pro charges Rs 99 for a
month. This means Amazon is charging cheaper when compared to all other music apps.

Now, this Amazon Music fare seems to be a bit different when you check with other apps. The Apple
Music subscription offers music only when you pay the full cost. You can only enjoy the active trial
period running or a subscription which costs Rs 120 per month. Coming to the tech giant Google, Google
Play Music gives you limited access to the music services without charges. You can enjoy music without
a subscription. In addition, you can listen to music stored on your device through the app. Saavn, Wynk,
Gaana and Hungama apps offer ad-supported music to their customers. For these apps, you need not
specifically subscribe but you can enjoy the music by downloading them to your songs list. You can also
listen to any play artist radio, podcasts or other music services with all the above music streaming apps,
but with the advertisements. If you want to get rid of the unnecessary advertisement stuff, you can
subscribe to a monthly package and enjoy break-less music on these apps.

Amazon Music offers music under Prime subscription scheme which has become a usual thing among all
of us. Most of us have got used to enjoying Amazon Prime membership. If you are not still a member,
you can first relish with the trail of Prime service for a month and later get subscribed by paying Rs 999
for a year. This will make you enjoy music from Amazon music service without ads. The music comes
with Alexa integration which is found in the app only. And to a note, your playlists and music history will
be synced across the devices, if you are listening to music with the Echo devices in India. Amazon Music
can also be accessed on Android, iOS, Web, Fire Stick and Alexa enabled devices with the Echo
speakers.

The interface of Amazon seems simple and easy. It welcomes with the homepage where you can set up
the language preferences of your choice. You will find four tabs in the app at the bottom along with
unique control circle widget which supports gestures. Alexa will let you listen to music with voice
commands. You can ask to play a song, or start a radio of specific artist too. Amazon has also added that
Alexa can identify the song if you could just tell the lyrics to it.
